SlideMode Makes It Easier To Select Text With The Trackpad [Mac]
The brilliant gesture support in OS X Lion is best complemented through the usage of Apple’s Magic Trackpad, or vice versa, should you prefer it that way. If you’re on a MacBook, you get a trackpad anyway. The gestures are all excellent, highly convenient and make you, well, feel like a ninja when you use them. But, as they say, all good things come at a cost, and there is one thing that is slightly difficult to manage with the trackpad – text selection. SlideMode is a free Mac app that makes this easier and adds two other simple tweaks for users who don’t have a trackpad. What the app basically does is make selecting text easier for you, whether you’re using a mouse or trackpad.
Blio Is An eBook Reader & Manager That Lets You View eBooks In Their Original Formatting [Review]
Reading a publication on an electronic device rather than a paper book has been termed both better and worse by different groups of book lovers. Paper book readers argue that reading a book using an electronic device, such as Amazon’s Kindle or Barnes & Noble’s Nook, does not ‘feel’ as right as reading a paper book. Whereas, a very strong argument against paper books is their effect on the environment, as massive amounts of trees are needed to produce that amount of paper. Nevertheless, the fact remains that eBook software they do not reproduce content exactly as intended by the author. Blio is an eBook reader that lets you read the books just as their authors formatted and designed them. Other than reading books, the application allows you to manage your eBook library, bookmark favorite books, look up the meaning of words and phrases within books on the internet, highlight selected content, add notes and more. You can also use the built-in text-to-speech feature to let the application read books aloud. More on Blio after the break.

Samsung Galaxy S III: 6 ‘Human’ Features [Review]
In what might be the most inadvertently silly tagline in smartphone history, Samsung says the Galaxy S III is “designed for humans.” No one’s designing phones for cats, so Samsung is obviously being more figurative here, meaning that the user interface and features on the phone better meet what people really want to do.
